Lateral LTRL

The Lateral Gallery in Mexico City (cdmx) is a contemporary art gallery located in the Roma district. Founded by Patricia Ortiz Monasterio and Jaime Riestra in 1983, the gallery is known for representing mixed media artists, including prominent painters, sculptors, photographers, and young dynamic artists.

The gallery showcases artists working across various media and is situated in a vibrant neighborhood filled with boutiques and galleries. The space features a variety of functions, including an art book and edition shop, a double-height exhibition space, a research library, and a studio. The gallery is currently undergoing a generational transition, planning to move into a new space and expand its exhibition program with a larger presence at international art fairs and a new roster of artists.
